What gorgeous photos of Cambodia! The essence of the Khmer people and daily life have been beautifully captured in your images.

Hello,
I like your pictures of Tokyo very much ! They really "taste" like Japan...
I studied japanese in Paris, visited Japan several times and since a few days ago, I know that I 'll be working in Tokyo in September (french embassy). I'm so happy !
Hope to meet you there one day !

I just visited your Facebook page...very nice.
Actually, I'm looking for a photographer to help me with a project/article I'll be doing soon. It doesn't pay but It'll get published!
Keep up the good work.
Jeff

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to read your blog. It was amazing. You have a great writing style and you made something so serious seem bearable. You added humour but in a good way and I thank you for that. You have taken some wonderful photos which certainly gave us a sense of place.
I live in Brisbane, Australia and I have a son living and working in Tokyo, and like you he is married to a Japanese girl, they have a beautiful little daughter. You have a similar sense of humour to my son, I am sure you would get on well.
Anyway thanks again for sharing your story and photos.
Cheers
Barb

Hi Ondray, hello from Vancouver,Canada. I came across your blog while searching for a daily life perspective from Tokyo, post- quake. Having lived there myself from 82-91 I had always wondered if I would get out before the next "big one" hit. This made me especially nervous one day when I was heading to a class from the lowest bowels of Tokyo station. It damn near took me 15 mins to reach daylight and I asked the gods that be to please not let me end up under rubble somewhere in that country, as much as I loved living there. Thanks for writing your blog and your really striking photos of those crazy, fascinating, chain-smoking (still!!)beautiful, enduring, frustrating and endearing Japanese people who tolerate us. I just wish they treated their cats better... as I stroke my black 18 lb monster Boy-Boy on my lap here in the safety and toilet paper wealthy environs of Vancouver.
While I am glad to be home, I do miss the outright fun of the neighborhood matsuri and the great sense of fun and adventure life in Japan gave me. I am also saddened by the misery of many in the hardest hit areas, I know that the Japanese people can fluorish under adversity.Radiation poisoning not so much though...
Keep up the good work as you had made me very homesick for my second home, Tokyo.
Stay safe,
Michelle

Enjoyed looking at your work. Not surprised you found a talent in this. A far cry from the days of tasc and corn beef hash.
best wishes

Hi Draycat,
I have been thru' many of your images especially the streetscape ones. I am inspired.
I love your use of B&W & I am impressed by your ability to grab attention to a specific spot within the image. Your use of space reminds me of Rembrandt & the way that he accentuated the key point of his painting by fading his backgrounds into black.
Nice work. I wish I could do as well as you. Thank you for sharing.
