Alone in Public

Tokyo is home to over 12m people, all cramped into small apartments and offices. It’s difficult to find a space to be alone. Some overcome this by shutting themselves away in their rooms and almost never coming out, others have just found a way to cope with it, but some simply find a way to do it in their minds – to be alone with hundreds of people around them.

On the flip side of the coin there are others who have learned to do the same thing, but for a different reason. Some people lack close friends to share their experiences with, and despite all the people around them, they feel alone.

And finally, there are those that society just doesn’t want to see, the people who we make invisible and thus alone – the homeless.

This is alone in public…

Nothing better than images by a story teller with a social conscience, great work. Bravo!
